It is now typical that you would feel uncertain when you wake up in the morning because you are yet to come to terms with the new routine or create one. You are at a loss about starting your day and engaging in activities that can keep you stress-free and take care of your health while following the new routine.

Start your day with self-care, says Robert Trosten

It is important to ensure that when you wake up in the morning, you can take charge of things to stay in control and feel Robert Trosten. Start your day by paying attention to your body and mind while engaging in some self-care techniques. Be with yourself for 10-15 minutes and start thinking about three things in life that you are grateful for. It can be anything that gives you joy and pleasure, like the clear blue sky, spring trees with their sublime green appeal, a comfy blanket, or the warmth and safety of your home. During this time, stay away from all electronic gadgets, especially the cell phone that we usually pick up first in the morning.

Practice breathing for stress relief

Soon after you go through the self-care schedule in the morning and before starting to meet the day’s demands, be in complete control and centered by practicing breathing that relieves stress.

Pay complete attention to your breathing while you sit quietly at a place. Practice the 4-7-8 breathing technique, also known as relaxing breathing, that allows you to concentrate on deep breaths. The cycle begins by inhaling air until you count 4, hold it inside until you count 7, and then exhale gradually while counting 8. Practice this technique of breathing 4 times a day, each time repeating the process 4 times. It is excellent for relieving stress and anxiety.

Move, stretch and stay active

The biggest danger of health during home isolation is to lead a sedentary lifestyle.  Staying active keeps us healthy, and the mind remains free from stress. As you find some purpose in life, have some goals to fulfill, and stay motivated to move on. Physical activities are suitable for mental health and boost immunity. Follow a daily exercise routine that you can easily do at home for at least 15-20 minutes a day without any accessories or equipment. Do some stretching exercises and Yoga that helps to practice mindfulness. And make you aware of your body and where you belong. If you are unaware of the techniques of practicing mindfulness. Sit at a quiet place with your eyes closed and draw all your attention or awareness toward your feet. It will make you feel more grounded.

Eat well by concentrating on a nutritious and balanced diet. Step out of your home for at least 15 minutes a day to soak in the sun that helps the body to produce vitamin D.
